Make a silver necklace

7pm - 9pm

In this workshop you will be shown how to cut, shape and finish your own pendant design from silver.

This is a perfect introduction for anyone thinking of taking up jewellery making. Saw piercing is the key skill to making almost any piece of jewellery – Jude our teacher spent the first term of her Jewellery degree on this skill alone!

You will learn:

  • How to thread and use a piercing saw
  • How to use a bench peg
  • How to make holes in metal
  • How to finish your design
  • How to polish your work
  • How to use jump rings to attach your pendant
  • How to make a necklace from chain

At the end of the session you will have a completely unique silver necklace made by you!
